judge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

Richard they are there now call them, you are way too worked up, I don't think you should wait until Monday, I am really worried about you the way you are posting.
I called and talked to them about my hall, I read them some of your posts they said for you to call. Quit stressing and just call.

Please call the law firm, you were offered that someone thought you were mental, by coming back and back trying to make your point when you have clear options it's making you look really like you are obsessing and not taking care of yourself. Please I beg of you call the law firm.
I did call them and they were really nice, I told them what happened in my hall how we had 3 child molesters, I also mentioned you and told them how worked up you are that you are convinced that this could harm victims instead of helping them.
They asked for you to call. I told them I did not know you or your name, just that you are on a web sight that I read, but that you are extremely worried about this, and you keep posting over and over and over how worried you are. They said that I should post for you to call them.
They honestly are really nice. So call them.

Richard like I said on the thread by BoC you really need to call the law firm.
You are way to obsessed about this and frustrated, for your own sanity I beg you to call the law firm.

Thank you Jaun for your encouraging word's.
And as I was working this afternoon. I thought that if Richard is so sure that this is such a unattainable battle why is he wasting his time with us on this thread, since he has such vast knowledge and does not want the victims to go through even more pain. THAN CALL THE LAW FIRM! Call them tell them all the worries he has spent the time he has put into this thread. He clearly knows more than that law firm does that his posts indicate, so Richard put your money where your mouth is and call them, stop wasting your time with us who are so stupid that some call this a slam dunk. Since this is so important for you to put a stop to what you clearly are feeling is insanity by posting over and over and over how this is such a long shot that probably will never have a chance. Call them and tell them how you know so much more than they do and how this is just not going to ever work.
For thoes who might take me seriously, I am just frustrated that Richard is trying to discourage everyone.

Again Richard what is your true point? I think anyone with an ounce of brain's knows this is not going to be easy. It's giving to be Hell. Most people really do get that l, really Richard.
The point is someone is at LEAST TRYING!
Most people who have been abused are so timid and afraid, most do not have the courage to stand up for anything much less their abouser's. You keep coming on this thread saying how hard this is going to be it's going to be an uphill battle, it won't be easy, the Watchtower is not going to roll over and die.
I get that I really and honestly do get that it is going to be pure hell. But to keep hammering it over and over and over and over the way you have on this thread you are going to scare them from even trying.
If that's what you are hoping to accomplish you've done a great job.

So your point Richard is that they should just give up? Wave the white flag?
I really try hard notto get into debates with poster's like you as it is just hitting my head against a brick wall. These convinced against their will are of the same opinion still. Nothing is ever going to convince you that anyone can change or get through to the GB to change their disregard for children by allowing sex offender's free range in the KH'S, I get that. Maybe your right. Maybe everyonewho has ever suffered injustices should just give up as the deck's stacked against them. Your right a huge amount of the law's are not to protect children and the Watchtower lawyers know the law extremely well, they know how to stop the victim cold most of the time. I get it no one should ever try to fight them as it is just a losing battle. I get your point totally.
All I can say is thank God for one's like Erin Brockovich and so many other's who didn't hold your fatalistic view.

I just cannot see a law firm running ad's like this without getting their ducks in a roll. Making sure they have sure they have a nail tight case. These lawyer's are not stupid, they know as soon as the ad's hit that they are going to be counter sued by Watchtower legal.
I know some want to be expert's and know what will happen and that this is just another act of fertility as they feel this law firm will not secede.
Maybe throwing a wet blanket on this thread, saying there is no way this will work, maybe they are right it's just stupid to hope justice will ever prevail.
For now I just really want to believe that this law firm is not that stupid, they knew before they placed their ad's who they were going against. I just really want to believe in the long run that evil will not trump justice.

i'm not sure whether or not my view on this is correct so please leave your input.
in recent months i've been viewing youtube videos.
again, it might just be my view but there has been an increased amount of random people grabbing a camera and doing vlogs.

I was wondering that this weekend, so many on this board say that Scientology are like JW's expect on steroids. After Randy's rant this weekend I am starting to think JW's are more damaged than most believe. I have started to think they could be hurt the same if not worse than Scientology. There are just to many who lose it in very unproductive ways.
